Mr. Geiger joined the Firm of Hawkins Delafield & Wood LLP in 1974, was admitted to the partnership in 1986, and is a member of the Firm's Management Committee. Mr. Geiger has principal responsibility for the Firm's New York State school district and local government finance practice, and devotes a substantial portion of his time to representing school districts in New York State with respect to their various financings. During his career with the Firm he has worked on numerous property tax-supported bond issues as Bond Counsel to school districts and municipalities in the State of New York, and has been the principal draftsman of certain legislation relating to public finance matters which has been enacted in New York.

Mr. Geiger's local government and school district financing experience has included representation of numerous cities, such as Albany, Buffalo, Troy and Yonkers, as well as counties, towns, villages, fire districts, and school districts in New York State. In addition, Mr. Geiger has worked extensively on issues for various California counties, school and transportation districts, the city of Cleveland, Ohio, and Dade County, Florida. In earlier years, Mr. Geiger also developed an expertise in Industrial Development Revenue Bond Financings for the Connecticut Development Authority and other agencies and authorities throughout the country. His experience also includes the representation of underwriters, as Counsel, in connection with the financings of Erie County, New York, the Buffalo (NY) Sewer Authority, the City of Detroit Water Board and Grand Strand (South Carolina) Water and Sewer Authority.
