Prior to joining Hawkins in 1999, Ms. Forcht was an associate with a general practice firm with an emphasis on real estate financing and general corporate practice. She participates in the firm’s representation of a variety of economic development issuers, specializing in private activity, nonprofit, pooled security and health care financings, including transactions with New York City Industrial Development Agency, Erie County Industrial Development Agency, Maine Bond Bank and Nassau County Industrial Development Agency. Her experience includes a variety of public offerings and private placements and tax-exempt and taxable securities as bond counsel, and as underwriter’s counsel, in connection with the Liberty Bond financing for the construction of the New York City headquarters for Bank of America, the construction of 7 World Trade Center and the Military Housing Taxable revenue bonds for Naval Base San Diego. In addition, Ms. Forcht has participated as bond counsel on a variety of transactions with Rutgers, The State University, New York City Housing Development Corporation, Erie Tobacco Asset Securitization Corporation and Erie County Medical Center Corporation.
