In his career, Greg’s practice for over thirty years at Hawkins has focused on serving as bond counsel, underwriters’ counsel, disclosure counsel and borrower’s counsel in connection with housing, health care, state appropriation backed debt and higher education financings, predominantly in New York State.

Greg joined Hawkins as an associate after two years in government and has spent the balance of his career at the firm.  His primary focus is financings in New York State.

Greg has extensive and varied experience advising and working with sophisticated clients which are frequently the country’s leading issuers and underwriters of housing, health care and higher education debt.  As a result, he has participated in numerous complex transactions involving a wide range of innovative financing techniques.

Greg is most proud of the decades of high level transactional teamwork that has made a real and measurable contribution to the quality of life of residents of the City and State of New York.  This contribution is visible in the form of affordable housing, hospitals, nursing homes, HIV-related care facilities and higher education facilities throughout the city and state.
