Sharon focuses her practice on the federal tax treatment of tax-exempt bond financings, acting primarily as bond counsel, underwriters’ counsel and special tax counsel. She has participated in a wide variety of bond transactions throughout the United States, primarily financings for single-family housing, multifamily housing, and housing owned by not-for-profit corporations. Additionally, Sharon has participated in power and energy tax-exempt bond financings. She also provides assistance to issuers in connection with IRS examinations of tax-exempt issues.

Sharon has a strong commitment of providing pro bono legal services to those in need. She has participated in the New York County Lawyers Association Pro Bono program (Divorce Project) and provided pro bono legal services through the Veterans Advocacy Project, Discharge Upgrade Clinic and the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center Advice and Referral Clinic.
