Eric S. Petersen is a co-founder of the U.S. Conference of Mayors' Urban Water Council. He makes regular presentations at conferences organized by the Council and by the American Water Works Association/Water Environment Federation (Joint Management Conference), the Center for Business Intelligence, the Design/Build Institute of America, the National Council for Public-Private Partnerships, the International City Managers Association, the Solid Waste Association of North America, and other forums on legal, environmental, tax and financing topics critical to the water, wastewater, solid waste and general infrastructure industries, and has authored numerous articles in the public contracts and procurement.
Eric Sapir has lectured on municipal utility issues before several forums including the Solid Waste Association of North America, the Public Securities Association, the New Jersey Association of Environmental Authorities, the New York City Bar Association and the New York State Legislative Commission on Solid Waste.
Sean Tierney is the President of the Bay Area Municipal Forum, serves on the Finance Committee for the San Francisco Asian Art Museum and recently served as a member of the Citizens Advisory Committee of the Marin Municipal Water.
Bruce Van Dusen served as a member of a task force established by the New York State Bar Association Environmental Law Section which prepared a report analyzing legal impediments to privatization of municipal water and wastewater facilities and as a member of the Committee on Energy of the Bar Association of the City of New York.
Howard Zucker was included in this year's Best Lawyers in America survey, which was conducted by ALM, a leading media company, and published in a recent edition of New York Magazine. The process of selection was done by a survey of peers, including a solicitation for nominees that went out to over 18,000 lawyers. Mr. Zucker is past president of the 3,000-member National Association of Bond Lawyers, serving for two years, 1998-2000. He was selected to be the first Chairman of the Bond Finance Practice Division of the Forum of Affordable Housing and Community Development Law of the American Bar Association ("ABA"). He chaired the Single Family Bond Workshops of National Association of Bond Lawyers for three years. Mr. Zucker was for two years the Chairman of the Public Finance Committee of the State and Local Government Law Section of the ABA and prior thereto was the Chairman of its Ethics and Professional Responsibility Committee.
