Hawkins served as special financing counsel to the University of Southern California (“USC”) in connection with the issuance by USC of two series of taxable bonds, aggregating approximately $628 million. One series was structured as a “century bond” – a single bullet maturity which matures one hundred years after issuance. This represents USC’s second century bond issue. Hawkins also served as counsel on USC’s inaugural century bond issue in 2011.
