Solomon focuses his practice on the federal tax law and regulations involving public finance, serving as bond counsel in 501(c)(3) and municipal tax-exempt and tax-advantaged financings.

Prior to joining Hawkins, Solomon was a partner at a large international law firm and co-lead that firm’s nationally recognized public finance tax practice. Solomon has served as tax counsel to a wide range of city, county, and state issuers, including toll road, water, and transportation authorities. He has worked on projects of varying size and complexity involving toll road and transportation infrastructure, hospitals, energy facilities, water and wastewater systems, schools, parking facilities, public recreation, community development, and open space projects.
