Hawkins served as bond counsel and disclosure counsel to the Hillsboro Economic Development Council for economic development projects in the Council’s North Hillsboro Industrial Renewal Area (IRA), to support the city and region’s center of technology innovation and manufacturing.
The bond issue will finance projects in the IRA that may include real property acquisitions for right-of-way, transportation improvements, utilities, open space and trails, wetland mitigation, stormwater management, natural resource enhancements, land assembly, and land banking for economic development purposes.
