Hawkins represented the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County as owner's lead counsel in connection with development of a natural gas fired district-wide heating and cooling system in the downtown Nashville, Tennessee area. As part of our work for the Metropolitan Government, we assisted in the preparation of a RFP for a private company to design and build a state of the art heating and cooling system, and to operate the system for a period of 30 years. We were the lead negotiator of the design-build-operate-maintain agreement, and also negotiated a fuel procurement contract.
