Hawkins is serving as owner's construction, corporate and transaction counsel to the Klamath River Renewal Corporation. KRRC is a nonprofit corporation formed by the states of California and Oregon to implement a comprehensive settlement agreement among dozen regional parties to remove four century-old hydroelectric dams on the Klamath River and restore river habitat. The project is funded by special utility ratepayer surcharges and California environmental bond proceeds.
